Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished: The Final Chapter

A continuation of the emotional Ys series. To attack enemies, you have to face them, but not head-on, more shoulder-to-shoulder. Remember the importance of saving via the menu, and that armour and weapons have to be bought and then put on. For the second dungeon (where you need a permit) it is better to draw a map. The world is much larger than in the first game, with snow-capped mountains, the lava-filled foot of a volcano, and a terrifying demon lair to explore. There is a lot of emphasis on magic, especially in the boss fights. It's a good game, and a more advanced version can be found on the PC Engine CD.
