El Viento

New York City, late 1920s. A time of secret societies, prohibition and gangsters. The followers of a dark doctrine intend to awaken Hastur, an evil ancient deity. The cult's founder plans to sacrifice the sorceress Restiana, who is descended from Hastur. He has also hired the bandit Al Capone (Vincent DeMarco) to kill another descendant of the god - a young Peruvian sorceress, Annette Mayer. The boomerang and the magic of the Wind (Viento) will help her to save humanity. There are many references to the Cthulhu Mythos in the game: during the course of the story, Annette will have to face various creatures from the mythos, including Byakkhi, Night Spirits, Mi-Go, Serpent Men and the earthly incarnation of Hastur himself. The heroine's health increases for every hundred thousand units of experience gained.
