Game maker help

Is there anyone here who know how to work with the game maker?
I want to do a pc remake of a nes game.
Can't tell to much about it only that it is a good sword game.
Originally it is 2 teams of 5 character but in my remake I want to add more teams and stuff.

DANGER X, after watching the video, I did not realize what kind of help you need. But I did a simple team selection screen and the character selection screen. I hope this helps. I was not thinking about the right style of writing code, because it's just an example.
