This is a little bit difficult to find, but greatly appreciated as part of your console's entry. The versions are listed on the top of the chips themselves, but this is difficult to get to, alternatively you can use the methods below to find the versions.
• Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest: at the menu screen press START and SELECT at the same time and you should then get a box listing versions (US only, version 1.0 only).
• The Lion King: At the options screen enter the keys B A R R Y and a debug menu will appear with the chip versions.
• Devil's Course Golf / Wicked 18: Select "Create Data" (fourth item on the first menu), then "Register" (first item on the second menu). In the 10th slot, enter the name "T&ESOFT". From now on, you can hold L+R while powering on the game to access the self-test. (Thanks to BMF54123 for this info!)
Alternatively this can be accessed by changing ROM address 0x108 from 0x38 to 0x18 to boot a test mode which lists the chip versions (Japanese version only).
• Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story: Go to the "Options" menu, highlight the "Difficulty" option, and quickly press L, A, R(2), Y. From the new Debug menu, go to "Show Statistics", then press select.
