Sony PlayStation 2 Emulators for Linux
PCSX2 v2.2.0
PCSX2 is an open source Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) console emulator for Linux. It is the only emulator capable of running commercial games. The emulator supports fairly stable operation of most of the games released for the console: in the compatibility database on the developers' website, out of 2295 games, 1646 are marked as playable, the game can be fully passed as on the real console and another 398 as conditionally playable, the game can be played, but it is impossible to pass it completely. The average frame rate of games varies and depends on the game being emulated, but many popular games can run at full frame rate. The emulator is able to emulate graphics in a much better way than the original console is capable of. BIOS is required for the emulator to work.
