pSX emulator v1.13 (x86)
Sony PlayStation emulator for Linux. Monolithic emulator (no plugins), has excellent compatibility and GUI on GTK2. For convenience, the emulator's "specific" dependencies are included in the archive and a script to run it is added. If basic 32-bit libraries are installed, it works on a 64-bit system as well.

Temporary disabling of pulseaudio: echo 'autospawn = no' >~/.pulse/client.conf
killall pulseaudio
Switch it back on: rm ~/.pulse/client.conf
