Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon
_127.png)
- • Genre: beat'em up
- • Players: 1
- • Developer: Arc System Works
- • Year of release: 1994 • Release Type: Released
A game based on the famous anime manga about girl-warriors in sailor suits. The main character of the series is a 14-year-old schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino (or Bunny). One day she meets a magical talking cat called Luna, who tells her that she has been chosen to be the warrior Sailor Moon to find the lost Princess of the Moon Kingdom and fight the Dark Kingdom, led by the evil Queen Beryl. The story of the game is based on the events of the first season of the anime series. This adaptation of the series is a classic beat'em-up. You take control of one of five heroines and progress through the game, screen by screen, defeating enemies along the way. Each girl has her own strengths and special attacks - various punch combinations, jump kicks and a special chargeable attack (press and hold the punch button). For some strange reason, this is a single-player game, although there is clearly a co-operative mode that was implemented in the Super Nintendo versions. This game was only released in Japanese in Japan, but there is a fan translation in English.

Blaster Master 2

- • Genre: action-adventure
- • Players: 1
- • Developer: Software Creations
- • Year of release: 1993 • Release Type: Released
Back on the NES, Blaster Master looked pretty good. The Genesis version lives up to that reputation. Your tank, with the hero inside it, travels through numerous levels, collecting components to improve the fighting qualities of its machine. These are the power of the main gun, the defence, the flying device, etc. From time to time, your hero will have to leave the tank and fight with enemies to collect the upgrades. A good single-player game with enough dynamic and challenging action.

Bloodshot

- • Genre: FPS
- • Players: 2
- • Developer: Domark Software
- • Year of release: 1994 • Release Type: Released
3D shooter. There is an obvious attempt to "pose" under DOOM and similar games. Your hero swings around the labyrinth, collecting weapons and using them against all sorts of creatures. The graphics are average, if not poor, and the sound is of mediocre quality. So we can say that the attempt failed. However, the game does have one great trump card - the ability to play in two players.

The adventures of brothers who steal. This is the propaganda of the "honest" way of life. Accordingly, each mission is a simple task - to steal a certain amount of valuables. Of course, they are guarded, so it won't be easy. The game is designed for 1-2 players with three difficulty levels.

Bonkers

- • Genre: action
- • Players: 1
- • Developer: SEGA Interactive Development Division
- • Year of release: 1994 • Release Type: Released
It's based on the Disney cartoon The Crazy One. It's clear that the game is just as silly. Cranky wants to win a competition to be the best officer of the month, so he throws himself headlong into the silliest of tasks. These include throwing nuts at museum thieves, retrieving his 'crumbly' stuffed rabbit friend (with a bomb under his feet), and the like. The game is fun and well done, but kind of silly. Single-player game.

Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure

- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
- • Developer: Interplay Productions, Inc.
- • Year of release: 1994 • Release Type: Released
Humorous platformer set in a strange world with a hero who uses his boogers, farts and burps to destroy enemies. The game has about 20 levels with dirt, slime and toilet humour. All the characters in the game are very well drawn and animated. Enemies do not stand still, they walk around, pick their noses, make funny poses, etc. The game is so well animated that it sometimes feels like you are playing as a character from a cartoon series. Boogerman runs, jumps, collects all sorts of nasty things and fights various monsters. You can also dig through some suspicious piles to find bonuses. The levels of the game are well designed and interesting, the main theme being all sorts of nasty things. There are such levels as "Slime Mountain" and "Stinky Swamps", where the hero has to pass through nasal cavities, slime and other such nasties. At the end of each level, the exit is a toilet bowl where the hero flushes himself into the next level!

Professional boxing simulator. There are only 8 boxers as stars, mostly middleweights, but some of them were really great masters of the fight (like Hagler or Robinson). You can have a single fight or create your own character and start a career as a boxer. The fight itself is quite realistic. The game is for 1-2 players.

Your hero fights the sinister Dracula, vampire and murderer. Well, you probably know about him. So you know what you have to do - get into the vampire's castle and kill the Count himself in an ingenious way. There are three levels of difficulty in the game. The graphics are slightly above average, the music is dark and the action is unoriginal, in the style of an ordinary action game. The monsters are also ordinary - bats, zombies, etc. Single player game.

Hockey simulator. Overall, the game makes a positive impression. It is made in the style of the NHL series, and the graphics are certainly not inferior. The game is accompanied by a boring commentary (such as "twenty-sixth interception, tenth throw, goalie rebound"), and it is also possible to customise the line-up and the rules. You can play a friendly, a season, a play-off. The game is designed for 1-2 players.

Brian Lara Cricket

In front of us is Cricket Simulator, in case anyone does not know that this game first appeared in England. Here you can choose which country you want to play for and against. You can also recruit a team of your choice. The graphics in this game do not shine with variety but are quite tolerable, but about the sound design I can not say that it is just depressing. This game from Brian Lara Cricket 96 really only differs in the graphics. See also: Shane Warne Cricket.
