Quite a good action game. The main goal of the game is to rescue all the prisoners. In addition to flying on the surface, you have to descend into underground bases after blowing up enemy buildings that hide the way down. Throughout the game the helicopter can be upgraded by landing in certain places. Quite difficult - you can fail to reach the next save bonus by 'kissing' the ground or a wall. Similar to Airwolf, but more dynamic. Mostly released on pirate cartridges under the name Urban Strike. The Japanese version is easier.

If you are a fan of eight-bit racing, this is the game for you. You control a boat and have to complete certain tasks: shoot your opponents, steal their cargo, take part in obstacle races and much more. Remember, your boat is not immortal.

The fabulous character Tapir invites us to the Kingdom of Dreams. The main feature of the game is the ability to create unique heroes. We choose a face, a body, a weapon and off we go - to save the world. We meet psychedelic characters and landscapes - from flying pink whales to the boss Moon with a very familiar face. Levels can be completed in any order by choosing a route on the map. The enemies are cunning and resourceful, but by collecting the pump hidden in the eggs, the character will learn to get rid of them with ease. We advise you to be one of the first to create a hero who can fly or hover in the air. Let's save the kingdom from the Dream Eater, who turns out to be ...., which you'll find out near the end of the game. Great project - a real hidden gem.

A Capcom game based on the arcade hit Rolling Thunder. An action game in which we play as a secret service agent on a mission to uncover drug traffickers entrenched in South America. Unlike Contra and similar games, it is not based on combat, but on tactics. You have to move around the level carefully, shooting enemies with care. Ammo is limited, so you need to aim well. Criminals like to jump on your head from the top "floor", so jump up yourself without waiting for them. There are many hidden doors on the stages. Walking through them will give you ammunition, prisoners and a contact, without which you cannot complete the level. You can also hide from enemies behind the doors. Not an easy game, but addictive.

It's an overhead shooter. The main character is an infantryman who is brought into the jungle by helicopter. He knows how to throw grenades (ultimate) and how to shoot. In the desert, where the action takes place, there are also enemies (where there are none). A collision with them is enough for our hero to die. There are often hiding places in the level. All in all, a fun game.

A game about Conan. Although the little man we control doesn't look like Schwarzenegger or Conan from the book cover. The graphics are poor even by NES standards. The controls are illogical to the extreme - how do you like jumping sideways when you press the 'down' button, for example? Killing the smallest of enemies sometimes takes a lot of effort. You can also get stuck on the very first level without understanding how to get through it - there are no hints.... A vivid example of how not to make games about famous characters. It is a slightly modified port of Myth: History in the Making from Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum computers.

Strategy.

The protagonist embarks on a campaign to liberate the Crystal Palace, once conquered by the villain. Travel through dangerous places and slash enemies with your sword. At the start of the game, you can choose one of three magic crystals, each of which gives the hero different abilities. The hero is assisted by his trusty friend - a dog. You can buy various useful weapons in the shop. A girl named Kim is not only the shopkeeper, but also (oddly enough) a reporter.

It's hard to find a game that came from the arcade to the NES that was as great as the original. The timelessly popular Contra is a unique case in point. Contra is a run and gun game where you have to move around the levels shooting the enemy. You can play alone or with a buddy (which multiplies the impressions you get from passing by). The action is set in the year 2631. Two soldiers, Bill and Lance, are fighting against the terrorist organisation "Red Falcon". Your heroes can use various weapons (from assault rifles to lasers), but the best weapon is a shotgun that shoots scattered bullets. As well as the usual side-view levels, there are also those where we storm an enemy base from the rear. The Japanese version, Gryzor, is vastly superior to the American version: it has much better sound, more animations and story scenes.

Sort of an offshoot of Contra. It takes place in our time. We choose one of four characters and you can change them during the game. Each character has its own weapons and abilities, and the weapons can be upgraded. You can use the pause menu to change characters or call up a computer partner. The levels are amazingly varied. We explore the harbour, ride on boats, climb the ruins of a skyscraper and - watch out! - we go up on top of flying aeroplanes. Lots of destructible objects in stages. Sometimes the game slows down a bit, but this does not prevent it from being a great example of its genre.

A game based on the film "Parallel World". We play as detective Frank Harris (Brad Pitt) who has to stop the painted villain Holly Wood (Kim Basinger) from escaping into the real world. Like the original film, this platformer is surreal and uninteresting, and quite difficult to complete.

Fly around the city, destroying enemy creatures, but it's too late to fly, the city itself has already been destroyed. And so the game is nothing to look at from the back, the graphics are cute.

A turn-based global space strategy game.

A little man runs around with a laser sword and fights various creatures.

The main character searches for and disarms the most dangerous gunmen of the Wild West. You can move around the town (there will be many towns) wherever you want, looking for clues, going into houses. As soon as we find out where the local bad guy is hiding, we go and kill him. You can earn money and spend it in local shops.

Arkanoid.

A street sports simulator by Technos, pretty cool. With health indicator. Competitions await you: running 400 metres with obstacles, hammer throwing according to the rules of golf, swimming - who can drown the other, jumping on the roofs of buildings and fighting in the style of judo. In between competitions you can go shopping and buy various useful items and upgrades. The Japanese version is clearly better than the American, at least in terms of the beauty of the backgrounds, but it has no English translation.

A game with an amusing and dashingly twisted plot, in which a kindergartener beats cups, competes with the head teacher and even becomes a father. As the story unfolds, he battles various opponents in an arcade-style game of logic, with victories earning him the coveted Life Dividend. The aim is to remove as many squares as possible from your opponent's territory, while keeping as few as possible in your own. This is done with the help of card combinations.
