His nephew is left as the only one who can help him. It's time to hit the road. Instead of a non-linear open world (like in Zelda) we now have a division into chapters with different locations. First you have to wander around the village and talk to people. Then you go down to the dungeon, where you solve various puzzles and fight with enemies with the help of your yo-yo - quite original weapon. The puzzles are the pearl of the game, you will remember them for a long time. And then there is a hard way through the cave - to the laboratory of Dr Jones.

Game in the category of simulators. Here you will fly the stealth plane. Be prepared that you will have to take off alone. Fail? Blown up on take-off? No problem, rookie! Grab another plane and try again!

A great role-playing game. A clear contender for the first Phantasy Star. Excellent plot development and well-balanced gameplay will leave this game without fans.

Sports game. Ice hockey. It's old school, it's fun. A lot of people will enjoy playing some of the other games here.

A scrolling shooter like Abadox, Metal Fighter, Formation Z. You fly in an aeroplane and shoot down everything that moves. The screen scrolls from right to left. A good feature is that you can play with two people at the same time (not one at a time as in many similar games). The game is very colourful.

Despite the familiar name, this is not a tournament, but a combat platformer with a very interesting idea. The aim of each stage is to destroy the designated target and gain the energy needed to open a portal to the next level. The target can be either one powerful enemy or many weak ones. The enemies are inhabitants of different planets: dangerous monsters, mutants, cyborgs. When fighting them, the hero shoots energy charges that can be pumped. He can also climb walls, poles and perform acrobatic backflips. Time is limited, so don't spend too long exploring the local scenery, and hurry when a portal opens: it closes quickly. In some levels, the screen automatically scrolls to the right or up. A dynamic game with a good difficulty level.

A port of the Capcom arcade game to the NES. Play as Strider, a fighter using ninja techniques and futuristic technology, a member of a secret organisation. The community of Striders was created to maintain order on Earth, but the protagonist, Hiryu, has yet to find out whose interests the warriors are really serving. .... Technically, the game is a platformer, but a very unconventional one. Places can and should be visited more than once. As in Metroid, there are upgrades to be found in hidden places. The hero can be pumped to improve his characteristics, just like in RPGs. An interesting creation that is certainly worth evaluating.

The 1992 game from Codemasters. Motorcycle racing. Everything is done in a childish way and has nothing to do with the world championship. It's worth playing for a while.

A mixture of RPG and board game, taking the worst of both genres. The game is designed for one player only. Who wants to play board games with themselves? In the game itself, you will meet people on some squares who will give you advice, a quest or an item. In the empty spaces, a random monster will appear and this is where the nightmare begins. Both the player and the monster roll a die. Whoever rolls the most dice is the one who attacks. No skill or thinking is required of the player. That would be fine, but the programmers have managed to screw things up with extreme cruelty. Sometimes the enemy throws a cube at the character's head, which can cause a temporary loss of consciousness. Firstly, there is nothing the player can do to prevent or dodge it. Secondly, the monster takes maximum damage and the player remains completely powerless. Similarly, you can be killed anywhere. The only thing you can do in combat without relying on luck is to use an item from your inventory. You don't have to roll a die to do this. You can use all of your items at once, but you can only have 16 of them.

A strategy game by pirate producers. Strange as it may seem, the game turned out to be extremely conscientious.

Adventures of a Japanese schoolgirl ninja. Decent action for all lovers of great games. The game is recommended for everyone.

Probably the most exciting space-scrolling shooter ever released. A huge variety of weapons, prizes and high speed make the game incredibly interesting. The graphics and sound are also excellent.

This game from Sunsoft was originally developed as a game about Superman. However, due to the loss of the licence, we had to remove all references to the famous DC Comics hero and invent our own hero - Sunman. Even so, the game was not officially released - we have a prototype. And not completely finished - the hero's attacks do not always hit the target. Nevertheless, it's worth playing and evaluating.

An arcade game vaguely reminiscent of Mappy. A man in a turban collects letter bottles. He tends to be pinned down by crows and some sponges. Graphics and sound are primitive.

A role-playing game in the vein of Shining of The Darkness. If you are a former fan of the latter, you will definitely like this game.

The second part of the famous Contra series. Once again you will have to make your way through technogenic zones and forests, shooting at everything that moves, to save the world from an alien invasion. You can play together, which is even better, as enemies come from every corner and it's hard to escape on your own. From time to time, unidentified flying objects will appear, which you can shoot down to acquire more advanced weapons. And, of course, there is a boss at the end of each level! The game has relatively good graphics and sound.

Not a bad car race, top view. Depending on the track, there may be obstacles. If you hit them for a long time, you can explode and fail. You have a limited supply of cash, which you need to replenish to win races and spend on repairs and upgrades. You can even buy a new car. Pleasant graphics, smooth controls.

Excellent Japanese game about two twin brothers. All fans of Japanese animation, this game is very even will not hurt. And most importantly, this is probably the only RPG on the NES where you can play two at once.
