A game based on a very popular manga in Japan. What distinguishes this football game from others is that it is more tactical. Each player has their own characteristics (energy, power, dribbling, blocking and others) that increase with the level. Some players have super kicks. In the second part, the players are already visible on the pitch and the menu is more convenient. Your hero in possession of the ball can pass, shoot or dribble. There is a password system in the game, which saves all your character's progress.

An action game set in a pseudo-medieval world of dragons and magic. A brave knight travels to the castle of the sorcerer Darklarza to punish the villain for his crimes and return the kidnapped princess. To begin with, the warrior is only armed with a sword, but as he progresses he will acquire new weapons and become more powerful to defeat his enemies. As in any arcade game, the emphasis is on combat rather than exploration. The difficulty is very high, and there are no levels (although you can start from the castle when you reach it after dying). The game is not long, but because of its complexity it is likely to be played for a long time.

Castlevania is the beginning of the story of the famous series of games about the castle and Count Dracula. Vampire hunter Simon Belmont travels to the Count's sinister residence to put him to rest once and for all (or rather, for the time being). The weapon of the Vampyroborz is a long whip. Other weapons include a knife, an axe, holy water, a boomerang cross and a magic clock. After defeating monsters familiar to us from horror films - the vampire bat, Medusa, mummies, Frankenstein's monster and Death - Simon reaches Dracula's throne room and confronts the lord of the castle himself. The game is challenging, not least because of the peculiar controls, but at the same time it is maddeningly addictive. A timeless NES classic.

The sequel to Castlevania was made differently from other parts of the series. Here, Simon Belmont travels through the towns, forests, graveyards, swamps and wastelands of Transylvania to collect five pieces of the deceased Dracula and bring them to the castle to lift the curse on himself and the people of his land. Dracula's fragments are kept in mansions. As in all role-playing games, the hero can store weapons in his inventory and choose what he needs from there. The change between day and night is present. The main difficulty lies in knowing what to do and where to go. Only by knowing everything will you get the best ending, which depends on the time spent in the passage.

The third part is a prequel to the first two. Towards the end of the 15th century, Dracula reigns in Transylvania, spreading death and chaos. Only Ralph Belmondo can stop him. There are several ways to get there. Along the way, the hero will meet three other fighters against evil, one of whom he can take with him. The agile Grant (Clock Tower) can climb walls and throw knives, the skilful Sifa (White Cemetery) can kill monsters with magic, and the mysterious Alucard (Swamps) can fly around in the shape of a bat. The difficulty is high, but there are passwords. A more complete version in terms of gameplay, music and lack of censorship is the JAPAN version. Fortunately, an English translation is available. In the American version, there are new enemies in the second (optional) round.

An ancient game that has lost none of its charm over the years. A perfect balance expressed in the confrontation of two armies. It's like hearing the trumpets of elephants and the clash of spears when you sit down at the board. On 64 squares, there is room for beauty and drama, elegance and comedy, mind games and animal aggression. The rules are deceptively simple: rook forward, bishop diagonally, knight with the letter 'G', queen as bishop + rook. The pawn is one square forward (the first move can be two) and hits diagonally. King on all sides, but only one square. The game is perfectly adapted to the NES: the adjustable difficulty level (Select) is well combined with a pleasant design and calm music.

Chip, Dale and their friends are back! Of all the Disney games developed by Capcom, this is probably the closest to the original cartoon series. Here we fight with Professor Nimnul's robotic dogs, chase away aliens that look like chipmunks, give under the gills to cheeky fighting fish, visit the factory of the cat Fathead - all as in the various series of the cartoon. We control Chip or Dale, and, when playing for two, both at the same time. Rodents deal with enemies by throwing all sorts of handy items lying around the levels at them. Rescue friends help from time to time: Rocky breaks down walls, Vzhik smashes enemies, and the kidnapped Fatty Guy offers valuable advice. In two-player mode, the dead chipmunk flies around on a balloon for a while, adding to the fun.

The second Chip and Dale game. Levels have become more colourful, there are more pleasant and catchy melodies, battles with enemies and bosses have become more interesting, and controlling chipmunks has become much more convenient. Crates can now be thrown at an angle as well as straight up, and when you throw a crate with a run, it flies like a powerful projectile. In two-player games, you can grab your partner and throw them at the enemy. The levels are fewer in number, but more entertaining. There are two-player mini-games available right on the stages. Rescuers, go!

The fabulous character Tapir invites us to the Kingdom of Dreams. The main feature of the game is the ability to create unique heroes. We choose a face, a body, a weapon and off we go - to save the world. We meet psychedelic characters and landscapes - from flying pink whales to the boss Moon with a very familiar face. Levels can be completed in any order by choosing a route on the map. The enemies are cunning and resourceful, but by collecting the pump hidden in the eggs, the character will learn to get rid of them with ease. We advise you to be one of the first to create a hero who can fly or hover in the air. Let's save the kingdom from the Dream Eater, who turns out to be ...., which you'll find out near the end of the game. Great project - a real hidden gem.

A Capcom game based on the arcade hit Rolling Thunder. An action game in which we play as a secret service agent on a mission to uncover drug traffickers entrenched in South America. Unlike Contra and similar games, it is not based on combat, but on tactics. You have to move around the level carefully, shooting enemies with care. Ammo is limited, so you need to aim well. Criminals like to jump on your head from the top "floor", so jump up yourself without waiting for them. There are many hidden doors on the stages. Walking through them will give you ammunition, prisoners and a contact, without which you cannot complete the level. You can also hide from enemies behind the doors. Not an easy game, but addictive.

It's hard to find a game that came from the arcade to the NES that was as great as the original. The timelessly popular Contra is a unique case in point. Contra is a run and gun game where you have to move around the levels shooting the enemy. You can play alone or with a buddy (which multiplies the impressions you get from passing by). The action is set in the year 2631. Two soldiers, Bill and Lance, are fighting against the terrorist organisation "Red Falcon". Your heroes can use various weapons (from assault rifles to lasers), but the best weapon is a shotgun that shoots scattered bullets. As well as the usual side-view levels, there are also those where we storm an enemy base from the rear. The Japanese version, Gryzor, is vastly superior to the American version: it has much better sound, more animations and story scenes.

Sort of an offshoot of Contra. It takes place in our time. We choose one of four characters and you can change them during the game. Each character has its own weapons and abilities, and the weapons can be upgraded. You can use the pause menu to change characters or call up a computer partner. The levels are amazingly varied. We explore the harbour, ride on boats, climb the ruins of a skyscraper and - watch out! - we go up on top of flying aeroplanes. Lots of destructible objects in stages. Sometimes the game slows down a bit, but this does not prevent it from being a great example of its genre.

The main character searches for and disarms the most dangerous gunmen of the Wild West. You can move around the town (there will be many towns) wherever you want, looking for clues, going into houses. As soon as we find out where the local bad guy is hiding, we go and kill him. You can earn money and spend it in local shops.

A street sports simulator by Technos, pretty cool. With health indicator. Competitions await you: running 400 metres with obstacles, hammer throwing according to the rules of golf, swimming - who can drown the other, jumping on the roofs of buildings and fighting in the style of judo. In between competitions you can go shopping and buy various useful items and upgrades. The Japanese version is clearly better than the American, at least in terms of the beauty of the backgrounds, but it has no English translation.

One of the best flying games on the NES, released by Konami in 1991. The gameplay is exciting: collect prizes, improve your weapons and armour. And for a certain amount of prizes, your plane transforms for a while into a huge and fearless ship that has no obstacles. The most interesting idea of the authors is the transformation. By pressing A, you can choose one of three types of plane. Each type has its own super weapon (press B and then A) and fire advantage: the first type is capable of destroying everything in front of you (especially if you have a lot of weapon bonuses), the second type not only shoots forwards but also protects you from behind, and the third type shoots sideways and forwards. At the end of each level there is a very big BOSS waiting for you. As for the graphics and sound, there can be no doubt - everything is top notch.

A game similar to Contra. A special agent is thrown into different parts of the world to prevent threats to the world. At the beginning he has no firearms, but immediately on the level you can find a machine gun and in the future do not part with it. You can hang from ladders along the way. The difficulty of the game is quite tolerable, there is no hardcore. The result is a good NES action game that is more than capable of captivating you.

With its beautiful graphics, great music and interesting ideas, this game should be considered one of the best action RPGs on the NES. According to the plot, we wake up from a cryogenic sleep, we don't remember what happened or who we are, but we have to act immediately. The evil Emperor wants to enslave the whole world, and the Four Wise Men have put the world's salvation in your hands. Your character is armed, of course, and each sword in the game has its own special attack, depending on the orb or bracelet attached to it. The game is full of intriguing puzzles and never gets boring.

The same DarkWing Duck, the hero of the cartoon series. This game for us will always be wrapped in a light touch of nostalgia. Very good graphics, stunning jazz music. Seven levels: a bridge where we fight with Quackerjack, a city - where Wolfduck lurks, a sewer - the hideout of The Liquidator, a shipyard - the hideout of Megavolt, a skyscraper - where Professor Moliarty tests his infernal machines, a forest - the home of Bushroot and the ship of the main villain - Steelbeak. In addition to the gas gun, there are three weapons: a lightning bolt that flies in two directions, a hyper ball that scatters on the ground and an arrow that you can grab.

Quest game. Play as Dizzy, an egg-shaped Snogle creature. His friend Daisy, in the castle of the evil wizard Zaksa, has touched the wizard's spinning wheel and fallen asleep, and you must wake her from her enchanted sleep. Interesting puzzles will fascinate you, and good graphics and music will delight you. Lots of different items and only 3 places for them in Dizzy's arsenal... The game is not very difficult, but you only have three lives, so try not to waste them. Also remember that Dizzy is a fragile creature (an egg is an egg).
