No wonder, as this is the last game for the legendary 8-bit console.

We might be worried about the lack of proper Ghostbusters games on the NES if Hal Laboratory, the company that released the Game Boy game of the same name, hadn't made our favourite console happy too. The game is played from a top-down perspective. You control a team of two hunters, one of whom is fully under your control and the other partially: he runs by himself and you give the order when to set the trap. The game uses the real names of the drivers and teams of the time. You can change the bodywork, the type of tyres and the angle of the wings. The gameplay itself is never boring, as the car skids noticeably in the corners and the opponents will not let you overtake. There are also weather conditions in the game, so you can race in the rain.

This game is a mixture of a quest and a fighting game. A wonderful atmosphere of investigation and mystery, where you will have to immerse yourself in the turbulent activities of a detective. When encountering enemies, the game switches to combat mode, giving you the opportunity to relax your brain for a while and show your opponent all the charms of close combat. The hero does good deeds, but no one is safe from ridiculous mistakes. You can save a cat from an angry dog, for example, and then read about your exploits in the newspaper. Or you can do some unforgivable things that will earn you the title of most untalented hero, all in that spirit. Graphically, the game is very good, but the music sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Anyway, this is one of the few quest games on the NES. It is very well done - you can solve many interesting puzzles.

Our protagonist is a ninja called Ryu Hayabusa. Having decided to find out the circumstances of his father's disappearance, he travels to America. Immediately, Ryu is attacked by unknown assailants, a mysterious girl shoots at him with a stun gun, a strange statuette appears in the hero's hands - a whole series of incredible events that the young ninja will have to go through. Young Hayabusa's main weapon is a sword. You can also obtain additional weapons (Shuriken, Firestream, Flame Ring Shield, etc.) from items found throughout the levels, which will come in handy against enemies and bosses. Ryu is an unrivalled ninja: he is a master swordsman, clings to walls and jumps very cleverly. The game is dynamic, the ninja literally beats enemies "on the fly". Although the difficulty is very high (you will often fall into the abyss), the exciting story and excellent gameplay will keep the player until the end of the game.

A sequel to the first part of Ninja Gaiden. A year later, a new power-obsessed enemy appears. Ryu Hayabusa must defeat him and save his beloved from danger. Our ninja once again uses his indispensable sword as a weapon, which he wields to perfection. The game is as dynamic, atmospheric and complex as its predecessor, and even better in terms of graphics. There are even more special opportunities. For example, you can run with one or two disembodied ninjas who will help you fight your enemies. The hero not only clings to walls, but can also climb them. The sequel features new, high-quality levels. In addition to aggressive enemies, you will be confronted with weather conditions (on some stages) that will noticeably hinder you.

The Ninja Gaiden sequel introduces an exciting new storyline. An unknown person claiming to be Ryu Hayabusa kills CIA agent Irene. A shocked Ryu sets out to find the impostor. The game has improved in almost every way. The main character looks even more alive thanks to good animation and voice acting. The graphics have been reworked. Dynamic effects really brighten up the game. The gameplay is more varied - Ryu can now strengthen his sword and special weapons have been added. The original Japanese version is easier and more complete than the American one (password system + eternal continues). A worthy conclusion to the cult trilogy.

Once again a game of the shoot'em up genre. You find yourself on an alien planet that is ruled not by humans, but by plants. Of course, you can't stand for it. So - run to the ship, shoot the enemy flora. Press A to shoot forwards and B to shoot backwards. Each level will present you with unique obstacles, and your enemy will be not only the enemy, but also the landscape itself. There are also interesting battles with bosses that make you think, and infinite credits that will help any patient player reach the end of the game sooner or later. Before you start, it's a good idea to get into the menus and adjust the behaviour of your weapons and companions.

The famous prison escape action game. The game is from SNK. The music, disturbing and exhilarating, as if it plunges us into the harsh world of jungle, prisoners and military bases. The graphics are at the level of 1989, but who cares about graphics when you have to escape from the prison and tear through the guards and soldiers? At first, the hero can only defeat enemies with his bare hands and feet. But if you go into buildings, you can get armour, brass knuckles, throwing knives, machine guns and even grenades. You have to go through the prison, the military base and the jungle. The bosses in the game are serious, as pumped up as your hero. But once you have learned the tactics, you will be able to deal with them. This is a game for those who are not afraid of difficulty.

The game tells the story of a chef, from whom a certain harmful moustached type took away the restaurant, because of which you have to reclaim your home from the furious vegetables, fruits and other food products. In the Japanese version we control the cook, in the American version we have a grandfather chef. The culinary theme is carefully reflected in the game - during the passage you'll see so many edible things that you may drool. It's nice that the game is so fun to play. Graphics and animation are top-notch, with bright pink colours prevailing. Music is also well chosen, soulful and melodic. In the armoury of our chef appears spoon-dubinka, plate-throwers and fork-crushing. Let's go - help the chef in his hard work!

A futuristic action game that puts you in the shoes of Special Agent Nova. The pumped-up Schwarzenegger-esque hero has to disarm a super-powerful computer that has rebelled against its creators. To get to the aggressive machine, Nova has to meet six agents on 6 levels and get a key from each of them. After using the key and entering the door, fight the boss. Nova's main weapon is, strangely enough, a boomerang. It can be thrown upwards as well as forwards. You can increase the boomerang's range by picking up stars along the way. If you try hard enough, you can find a suit of armour that will protect you from any three enemy attacks. The interesting gameplay alone makes this a worthy project. Beautiful and varied stages only add to this.

The Taito company once again pleases us with a quality creation with good graphics, catchy music and an exciting atmosphere. The sequel to Power Blade takes us into the future, to the distant year 2200. You are still Nova, a special agent of the secret service. Once again you have to save humanity, this time from an external threat. The first 4 levels of the game can be played in any order. As before, you are armed with a boomerang, but there are other ways to hit enemies. In each of the early levels, you can go through a door to fight a dragon boss and, if you win, receive one of four 'cyborg suits'. Each suit gives you a weapon and additional abilities (climbing walls, swimming, flying, defending against enemies and bullets), and energy for the suit must be replenished by collecting bonuses along the way. You can also improve the hero's stats by finding prizes, so he can throw the boomerang further. A great action game that never gets boring.

An adventurer falls in love with a princess and she falls in love with him. They envision a lavish wedding, healthy children and a happy future. But this is not what the Vizier Jafar has in mind. In the Sultan's absence, he throws our hero into prison and offers the princess a choice - marry him or die. You have 60 minutes to escape the dungeon or lose your beloved forever. Exploration is an important part of the game. At the beginning, try to find a sword, you will need it. Scatter will help you jump to a greater distance. Published by Nintendo in 1987, this game is about big-time boxing and the hard road to fame. Our boxer, called Little Mac, has 15 fights against different opponents. Each fight consists of 3 rounds of 3 minutes each. There are strong men against us, each with their own fighting tactics. The final boss is Mike Tyson himself. After one of his punches you will be knocked out, after the 2nd - game over. To get the skill of crown punch (forward + start) you need to get a bonus - a star, which you get after the "most beautiful" punch of our fighter. Cartoon graphics in the game is made talented and very beautiful. The music in the game is on the level of 1987. All in all, a fascinating and unique fighter in the ring.

A game about the famous Marvel Comics vigilante. Our hero, the Punisher, has decided to take revenge by wiping out the criminal element. The graphics are tolerable, music is absent in most scenes, replaced by the sound of whistling bullets. Gameplay is presented as follows: third-person view, the screen scrolls from left to right. You must shoot infantrymen, dodging enemy bullets from the side if necessary. From time to time helicopters and other military equipment appear. Bonuses - lives, ammunition - often fall from the sky. Quite an entertaining game with reasonable difficulty.

The sequel to the first RC Pro-Am with more detailed graphics. There are trees, rivers and jumps. Jumps make the car bounce. You can upgrade your car in the shop by replacing parts with newer ones. There is a four player game mode on one screen.

Unlike the first game, Rad Racer 2 has nicer graphics and better sound. By the way, the car accelerated faster in the first game, and the gearshift is more realistic in Rad Racer 2. The environment has been drawn in greater detail, with more vivid colours. Music has been added. Otherwise, the gameplay is almost the same as in the first Rad Racer.
