European version of the game released in Japan under the name Doki Doki Yuuenchi (pirates called it Disneyland 2). The main character is a kid whose girlfriend is being held captive in a strange amusement park. You have to fight clowns, Easter bunnies, robots, Papuans, monkeys, Indians, pirates - they are not funny here, but very evil. Instead of weapons, the character uses balls, which he skillfully kicks at the enemy. The more the boy is hit, the more powerful his attacks become. The levels are varied, starting with a walk through the park's alleyways, followed by all sorts of themed attractions. In some levels you have to ride roller coasters, and these are the most difficult moments in the game. You have to somersault to avoid colliding with anything, and sometimes you have to accelerate (by pressing the attack button) to jump over long cliffs. An interesting, moderately challenging and entertaining game.

In a fairytale kingdom, a villain has bewitched the prince and turned him into a frog. Our hero - a bearded gnome with a hammer - must collect the ingredients for a potion that will help the prince become human again. Unlike the first part of the game (a single-screen arcade), the second part is a full-fledged platformer. We move through colourful levels, hitting enemies with a hammer. You can pick up the stunned monster and hurl it at another enemy or into the wall, picking up useful prizes in the process. There are puzzles in the levels, sometimes not obvious at all. The game was only released in Japan, in our country it was known as Chinese hack Super Mario 8. Very cool graphics and interesting stage structure. The last level with the clock is very memorable.

The second part of the series is signalled by the postscript The Revenge. In the year 19XX, after the nuclear war, violence began to reign in New York City. It was two brave boys, Billy and Jimmy Lee, who stood up to the criminals. But lo and behold, members of the Shadow Wars killed Marion, Billy's girlfriend. Knee kicks and uppercuts were introduced, as well as the famous leg twirl. The controls for the arm punch and leg kick depend on which way the character is facing. The Japanese version is simpler - it has eternal repeats, and the final locations are available on every difficulty level.

It's been a year since the Brothers defeated the Shadow Warriors. Now they embark on a campaign for the Sacred Stones, while kicking the crap out of the local bandits. The developers have spent a lot of time on the game's graphics, which are of a high quality. After hitting an enemy with your foot (or twice with your hand), you can approach them diagonally, grab them and start elbowing or kneeing them. At these moments, your character is invulnerable. In the third part, as well as playing as Billy and Jimmy Lee, you can also play as their two defeated enemies - the Chinese Chin and the ninja Renzou. Pressing Select allows you to choose your weapon and character (level 2 and 3 bosses will appear there after you defeat them).

Sometimes even the plumber can act as a doctor. The famous Mario, wearing a white coat, dashingly tosses multicoloured pills into the bottle of viruses. In fact, what we have here is a variation of Tetris in which you have to line up falling pills of 4 identical colours. The aim of the level is to destroy all the viruses. At all speeds except slow, a scene with viruses is displayed after every 5th level. And if you beat level 20 at high speed, you will be shown the final victory over the disease.

Something between a platformer and a scrolling shooter. You start out as a child armed with a sword. Killing enemies replenishes your energy bar, and when you have enough, you can transform into a dragon for a while. Even in human form, the child can 'charge' an attack and unleash a powerful burst of energy. What it will be and what the dragon will fire depends on the child's colour. The colour can be changed by collecting a special bonus letter. The graphics are pleasant. The levels, although few in number, are very varied. There are 6 of them in total. While the first five levels allow you to choose where to run and where to fly, the last level is a pure scroll-shooter. It is impossible not to say something about the music - it is simply excellent! Great game.

Dragon Warrior series of role-playing games. The story revolves around several characters, spans five chapters, and then combines the entire plot into a single narrative. Each character has their own story and goals in this world. The King's Knight searches for missing children and learns that the monsters who kidnapped them are looking for a legendary hero. A warrior princess defeats everyone in a tournament, but when she returns home, she discovers that all the jewels are missing. An arms dealer goes in search of a legendary weapon. Sisters search for a legendary hero to avenge their father's death. And finally, the legendary hero who can fulfil a prophecy joins forces with other characters to save the world from the forces of evil.

Nintendo's all-time favourite duck hunting game. On the console it requires a light gun. So if you play on a PC, choose an emulator that supports this feature. The rules are not even worth explaining - you wait for the duck to fly out, aim and shoot. The hound will taunt you if you miss. The game has three modes: shooting ducks one by one, shooting ducks two by two and skeet shooting.

A game about the adventures of the famous miser Scrooge McDuck. You can play the levels in any order. By pressing Jump+Hit+Down (after pressing you can just hold the Hit button and release the others) you will start jumping on the cane, avoiding damage from spikes, smashing rocks and stunning enemies. You can use the cane to move jars and throw round stones. During the adventure, Scrooge uses the help of friends and relatives. Once you have gained 3 million, you can heal once by pressing Select. For a better ending, gain 10 million. Extra health units can be found in the Himalayas (bottom left) and Transylvania (right behind the illusory wall). In terms of graphics and sound, the game looked very cool for its time.

A continuation of the adventures of Scrooge McDuck. One of his nephews finds a piece of an old map in the cellar of the estate. It turns out that McDuck's great-great-great-grandfather hid the family's legendary treasure in a mysterious place. One piece of the map is already there, another can be bought in the shop for the modest sum of a million dollars (useful things like extensions, safes and lives are also sold), and the remaining five must be found in each of the levels. Gyro Gearloose helps Scrooge by improving the properties of his cane so that it can break previously strong stones. To find parts of the map, you will need to be observant, looking for hidden passages in walls and exploring secluded areas. You can use the cake to fully restore your energy (select it from the start menu and press Select). The game is worth 5 points.

Cool boat racing simulator. High quality graphics and animation, as if you were playing on the Genesis instead of the NES. Good soundtrack to immerse you in the racing atmosphere. The boat can be improved by buying additional equipment with money won in competitions. There are 4 branches in total: engine (speed), turbine (acceleration), frame (strength), steering (manoeuvrability). Keep an eye on repairs. Each time, your opponents' boats will be better and more powerful. Enjoy the possibility of playing in two and the presence of difficulty levels. Collect signs N - it is an accelerator; you can collect signs $ - it is a bonus of 10000; you can get more money at the finish line if you pass the section first.

An exciting motorcycle racing simulator. You have to overcome obstacles and reach the finish line in time. In mode A there are no rivals, your main rival is time, but in mode B you have to try to beat the time record while pushing around the track with other motorcyclists. A wide variety of obstacles: slides, jumps, something poured on the road (probably nails). On the jumps, you can tilt the bike forwards or backwards to increase the distance of the jump and avoid crashing. There's a built-in track editor - Build and Ride. There are five types of track in the main events. Complete them all perfectly to earn a trophy. Good sound will set the mood for the game, and the graphics will not let you tire before time.

A very interesting, high-quality quest. Help Dizzy, an egg-like creature, to save his girlfriend Daisy from the insidious wizard Zax. The game has a lot of riddles, puzzles and mini-games (you need to know English, at least superficially). Lots of different items and only 3 places for them in Dizzy's arsenal. Good graphics and music will delight you during the passage. The complexity is not low, as there will be many dangers along the way. Remember that Dizzy is a fragile creature (an egg is an egg).

An offshoot of the Dragon Slayer series, more specifically a storyline addition to the second part of Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu. The gameplay can be compared to Zelda II - The Adventure of Link and the Castlevania series. Don't look now, but at first you might think it's a contrived RPG, but when it turns into an incredibly atmospheric platformer, you'll forget all about it. The art design in this game is top notch - the medievalism is everywhere. One of the most underrated projects on the platform.

The hilarious adventures of the equally hilarious cat Felix, who has to rescue his girlfriend. The Professor has kidnapped Kitty again and is demanding a ransom - a magic pouch. Good sound accompaniment and cheerful graphics will keep you entertained throughout the game. Many picturesque levels - from forests and snowy mountains to underwater depths and outer space. By collecting upgrades you can get different weapons - a magician's suit, a car or a tank in normal levels; a balloon and a plane in air levels; a dolphin and a boat in water levels; a turtle and a bathyscaphe in underwater levels. A very good game.

The story tells of four orphans chosen by the Crystals to restore the balance between light and darkness. The game is a revised and polished version of the first part. Almost all parameters have been improved. We are particularly pleased that the heroes' blows no longer go into the void and automatically switch from a dead monster to a still-living one. The main feature of FF3 is the system of "professions". At any point in the game, any of the heroes can change their class - a warrior can become a black mage, and a bard can become a viking. At the start there is only one class available, but after defeating the first boss you will have access to five more. The total number of classes is 22. One of the best JRPGs for the NES.

"Fire and Ice. Here, a green old bearded man combines the roles of Father Christmas and fireman. Going from level to level, he tries to extinguish the fires with pieces of ice. And he succeeds. The old man also has a magic wand with which he can create new pieces of ice. You can also use it to push and destroy pieces of ice. Quite a fascinating game with interesting levels, a good challenge for fans of logical problems.

Fred and his friend Barney rescue children from trouble. You can play as either character, switching from one to the other by pressing "Select". The characters complement each other, each having their own weapons (Fred has a baton, Barney has a slingshot) and abilities (Barney can grab the bars and Fred can pull himself up on the ledges). New stages surprise with new secrets and interesting design. The graphics, similar to the last part of the game, are famous for their pleasant colours and have even improved a little. The game The Flintstones, - The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak is bright and exciting, the time of its passing will pass like a minute.

A game about an ordinary Stone Age family. The hapless labourer Fred turns out to be a real hero when he rescues the pets Dino and Hoppy. The evil Dr Butler has come from the future, loaded the animals into a time machine and taken them away. We have to pick up the scattered pieces of the time machine, then travel to the future world and use the baton to teach the doctor reason. Colourful graphics skilfully recreate the bright, fun atmosphere of the animated series. By winning at basketball, you can gain useful skills. As well as the stick (which can be made more powerful), Fred can also pick up additional weapons: stone axes, a slingshot and an egg bomb. Abilities and extra weapons can be used for coins. The adventures of the Flintstones on NES are truly a success!

A game about firemen. We control two firemen who throw a third (our main character) on a trampoline, catch him and save him from falling. Our hero rescues people (and animals) from burning rooms and puts out fires in burning windows. From time to time, he also knocks various prizes out of the windows, which we also have to pick up carefully without missing the hero. Everything is like in the game "Arkanoid". You can use the prizes to: increase the length of the trampoline, make the character temporarily invulnerable or more resistant to fire, give him a partner, and also end our firefight early. You can also go inside the building! The game is not infinite - it has 32 levels. A fun game with a rewarding message.
