A fun creation from Hudson Soft about Mickey Mouse and his friend Minnie. The mice travel through fairytale places, such as Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. You play as Mickey Mouse, and Minnie, controlled by the computer, runs behind you (good thing enemies can't hit her). At the start of the game, you must find weapons for Mickey and Minnie, and then bravely defeat enemies. The bosses in the Japanese version are characters from Disney's Alice, along with James Hook. The American version will feature other Disney characters instead. The gameplay is far from perfect - enemies often attack in such a way that it is impossible to avoid their blows. Nevertheless, Hudson's work is interesting and exciting to play.

"Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away..." The game is based on the good old film Star Wars Part IV (1977). The game combines several genres. You will have to wander around with a blaster in your hand, and ride a rover with an air cushion. The hero (Luke Skywalker) is very agile, can run, shoot, jump. Graphics and sound are at the top.

The famous RPG on the NES. Hurrah! Anyone who shouted "hurray" too loudly was shot with fireballs. Everything is the same as on the staff: earn monsters, fight with experience (or vice versa), find uniforms and weapons. The graphics are excellent, and the sound is not bad either, despite being of the same type.

A Capcom game based on the arcade hit Rolling Thunder. An action game in which we play as a secret service agent on a mission to uncover drug traffickers entrenched in South America. Unlike Contra and similar games, it is not based on combat, but on tactics. You have to move around the level carefully, shooting enemies with care. Ammo is limited, so you need to aim well. Criminals like to jump on your head from the top "floor", so jump up yourself without waiting for them. There are many hidden doors on the stages. Walking through them will give you ammunition, prisoners and a contact, without which you cannot complete the level. You can also hide from enemies behind the doors. Not an easy game, but addictive.

A sequel to the famous Japanese role-playing game. This time, more emphasis has been placed on the story, which tells of the confrontation with the irrepressible ambitions of the evil Empire. Now it is not a series of individual quests, but a simple but holistic dramatic narrative. The main group will be periodically joined by so-called "guest" characters. From now on, the heroes will use each of their abilities separately in battles. Even an archer can become a tough warrior, and with a certain skill each character can become a universal, capable of both magical and physical attacks. The graphics have grown a bit since the first game.

Arcade game by Technos. In the game you choose a runner and race against the computer. The participants can fight, pick up and throw various objects at each other, of which there are many on the track.

The evil King Scorch kidnaps two princesses and turns their beloved princes into snowmen. Naturally, the princes are not happy about this and they go to Scorch's castle to set things right. You play the role of the snowman (or snowflake if you are alone). You destroy monsters by turning some of them into clumps of snow and using these clumps to knock down others, moving from floor to floor. There is a boss on every tenth floor. There are 50 floors in all. If you can complete the game without using the sequels, you will get the best ending, where princesses are rescued and princes are enchanted (with the help of a kiss, of course).

The sequel to Downtown - Nekketsu Monogatari. Only now we have an ally: a computer or a second player. Game by Technos.

A game about the famous Marvel Comics vigilante. Our hero, the Punisher, has decided to take revenge by wiping out the criminal element. The graphics are tolerable, music is absent in most scenes, replaced by the sound of whistling bullets. Gameplay is presented as follows: third-person view, the screen scrolls from left to right. You must shoot infantrymen, dodging enemy bullets from the side if necessary. From time to time helicopters and other military equipment appear. Bonuses - lives, ammunition - often fall from the sky. Quite an entertaining game with reasonable difficulty.

One of the simplest action games on the NES. A tiny ninja runs around a monotonous location (from right to left, for some reason), beating up similarly tiny enemies that pop up everywhere. The locations are so long that they seem endless. But in fact it is still possible to run to the end of the level. And if you don't die from enemy contact, you'll find that the game is very short, you can complete it in fifteen minutes. And once you've done it... that's right, the game starts again. It's that kind of eight-bit action.

Racing. Super, tricky, there are no words to express the admiration at the sight of this game. You can certainly consider it one of the best Formula 1 games. You can change the parameters of the car before the start to adapt it to the local track. You will have the opportunity to drive on the best tracks and gain points at the same time. Excellent graphics and music will keep you focused without any stress. The procedure itself will not let you relax for a minute - one mistake and you will be disqualified.

Arcade game for one or two players. You choose a jeep or a helicopter and you're off to "destroy the bastards". The helicopter can fly (which is not very weird) and shoot. The jeep can jump (which is weird) and shoot. The enemies are different helicopters and tanks. Graphics and sound are normal.

A game with a unique style. Our goal is to trap all the enemies in bubbles and then burst them. Despite the fact that all the levels are on one screen and there are 70 of them, the player never gets bored thanks to the great design and creativity of the developers. We have several possibilities of the dragon: blowing normal bubbles, jumping on bubbles, inflating and blowing triple bubbles, inflating completely and flying on the air stream. There are several dozen prizes to be won, from inflating your bubbles and increasing your speed to entering bonus games. There are three bonus games: volleyball, collecting diamonds, basketball. Special bubbles with different properties (lightning, fire, stars, acid) also help us in the game. The bosses are excellent and the battle strategy is different everywhere, as well as being prepared to fight with them weapons. Also in the game did not forget about combos - the more bubbles with enemies burst at the same time, the bigger prize will appear on the screen (for points give important lives). There are a lot of different enemies in the game. The music is melodic and soothing. The graphics are also top notch, with some animated backgrounds. The game is complex, but fascinating.

A port of an interesting arcade game by Data East about two cave heroes who have to rescue kidnapped ladies. The port is not as intense as the 16-bit versions: the levels are simpler and there are fewer of them, and the rescued ladies don't thank the heroes. If you want to familiarise yourself with the game, you should also check out the SNES and Genesis ports, or the original on arcade machines.

A very exciting platformer released by Konami in 1986, based on the film of the same name. The young hero Mikey must rescue his friends from captivity, first by wandering through an abandoned restaurant and then through caves. He is hindered by big mice and villains - the greedy Fratelli brothers. His enemies need to be kicked. The mice don't last long, but the brothers can only be stunned for a while. Bombs fall from the mice. Use the bombs to free your friends by placing explosives under the door. You can also find useful prizes and exit keys in the doors. As well as the enemies, there are plenty of other obstacles around, so be careful. The whole process is so entertaining that the time will fly by unnoticed.

One of the best shooting games on the NES, with great graphics and music. A long time ago, peaceful people lived on a planet in a galaxy. But suddenly their products and things began to attack them. You, as an agent of the local secret service, have to find out who is behind it. A bunch of different weapons: lasers, homing bullets. The weapons are numbered from 1 to 5, and if you pick up weapons of the same number often, they become more powerful. You can change the speed of your ship by pressing Select. The game has four difficulty modes: from a nice thrill ride (in the first and second modes) to a hot bath and hell (in the third and fourth modes).

One of the first military flight games with an overhead view. You must take the controls of a World War II bomber and engage in combat with a superior enemy force.

One of the best Olympics on the NES. High quality and fun Olympics. Thanks to the efforts of the developers, you can feel the spirit of competition - and that is the main feature of the Olympics. We have 18 disciplines, many of which are not found in similar games: lifting weights, jumping over a horse, hammer throwing, etc. The graphics and the music are impressive. The characters are well drawn. It is true that there is a small choice of countries to play for. The game allows eight people to play at the same time (one at a time). On the downside, there are high minimum scores for passing, and it is better not to look at the world records at all.

"The Best of the Best, remember that film? No gangsters, kidnapped girls or elderly sensei - just sport. Sparring, knockdowns and the roar of the stands are all present in the eight-bit game of the same name. Training that improves strength, endurance and reaction, a multi-stage championship mode and the ability to play together. And all your achievements (from the fighter's personal characteristics to the number of victories) can be recorded in the form of a nine-digit password! The game's arsenal includes about 10 different punches. Good graphics and detailed animation (the movements of the fighters are on a par with those in Prince of Persia) together with a really sporty gameplay mechanic make this fighting simulator a real hit.

One of the most addictive and challenging games on the NES. The story puts you in control of three characters. Your mission is to save a certain doctor and his secretary. Thoughtful story, good graphics and soundtrack. What is the recipe for a hit game? Lots of puzzles and obstacles along the way. You will have to use your grey cells to get through them. A definite hit.
