The second instalment of Turtle Adventures comes straight from the arcade machine to the NES. Now you can play together. Choose your favourite turtle and hack away at Shredder's henchmen as you make your way towards him. The graphics from the first game have been greatly improved. Many moments from the famous 1987 cartoon about turtles have been transferred to the game. Short stories are inserted between levels. In addition to the usual blows, the heroes have special techniques, each of which is the same (pressing both buttons, with one of them a little earlier). Ninja Turtles 2 is fun to play and will stay with you for a long time.

A funny game about funny "friends". Jerry has to rescue little Tuffy who is trapped in the attic. You have to find your way from the basement to the roof, but you will encounter many enemies and surprises, not to mention Tom's cat. You have to think hard to get through the levels. The main character is well animated. Great music from the original anime. The Japanese version of the game is much simpler than the American version - it has more lives and sequels.

As in the film of the same name, the robot cop has to fight crime. There are 6 types of weapon at your disposal, starting with a pistol and ending with rockets with a powerful explosion. The events of the game briefly repeat the moments of the film. You will find yourself in the dark streets of Detroit at night, visit an abandoned factory, take off with a jetpack, survive the fire of a tank, fight with armed gangs and alien cyborg ninjas. It all looks amazing, both in terms of the beautiful, cartoonish graphics and the expertly selected voice acting. The music is incomparable. The gameplay is fascinating. Robocop is heavy, and it is necessary not to let the faster enemies put bullets into the hero. There are secret rooms with prizes in the levels. Some healers can only be used when repairing Robocop, so use them wisely. A quality game based on the film in every respect.

A fun game with simple rules. We control a gold digger. On each level you have to collect all the gold piles and climb the ladder to the top. On the way, you will be hindered by enemies who will steal gold from time to time and take it away with them. Your prospector knows how to dig holes in the ground. You have to do this in such a way as to lure the enemy into them without getting trapped yourself. The graphics are simple, but that is not the most important thing in a game this exciting.

A sequel to Super Mario Bros. 1, released in Japan on the Famicom Disk System. Here is a pirated version of this game on the NES. The game is actually a map pack of the first part with slightly reworked graphics. Some elements have been added, such as a poisonous mushroom, wind in the levels, springs that throw you into the clouds and other such "goodies". You can play as either Mario or Luigi, and the gameplay is different for the two brothers. The second Mario is much more difficult than the first. In general, it is one of the hardest games in the series. The game was later released on the SNES as Lost Levels. If you want to find out what Mario's Lost Worlds is really like, go for it!

An exciting motorcycle racing simulator. You have to overcome obstacles and reach the finish line in time. In mode A there are no rivals, your main rival is time, but in mode B you have to try to beat the time record while pushing around the track with other motorcyclists. A wide variety of obstacles: slides, jumps, something poured on the road (probably nails). On the jumps, you can tilt the bike forwards or backwards to increase the distance of the jump and avoid crashing. There's a built-in track editor - Build and Ride. There are five types of track in the main events. Complete them all perfectly to earn a trophy. Good sound will set the mood for the game, and the graphics will not let you tire before time.

An excellent 1988 action game from Konami that combines good graphics, sound and interesting gameplay. A jeep (one or two if we play for two), driven by a group of 2 special forces, goes to eliminate enemies and rescue hostages. The hostages have to be rescued by destroying buildings. After putting the rescued into the car, we have to get to the place where the helicopter has been sent and load the people into it. Our jeep is armed with a machine gun (which only shoots forward) and grenades (which fly in all directions), with the help of some hostages upgraded to missiles. If you are picked up with hostages on board, you will lose some of them. The game is particularly addictive in 2-player mode.

Game of all times and nations. It is almost as well known as Tanchiki, and many NES consoles came with a cartridge containing this game. The plot is simple: you play for the Mario brothers and have to clear the level of all kinds of creatures (crabs, turtles, flies, etc.). You can get rid of the enemy by stunning it by hitting it from below (some a few times) and then pushing it off the platform. It's fun and not at all stressful. Especially interesting to play with two people. A good time is guaranteed.

The peaceful hustle and bustle of the day is interrupted by a phone call. "Your daughter has been kidnapped" - with these words, the bandits' fate is sealed. Mike Haggar rips off his shirt in anger. His duties as city manager can wait. Street fighter Cody is a well-balanced character. Ninja Guy is very fast. The Haggar Wrestler's slowness is more than made up for by his incredible strength. He can grab a gaping opponent by jumping on top of them, deliver a "kick" and knock their head to the ground. But Cody or Guy can also stun an enemy with a jump attack (by adding a "down" button to it). Leveling up boosts and increases health. Leveling up will also heal you completely. The circle attack A+B will save you in a critical situation, but will drain your energy. Special moves are performed with a punch+forward and get better as you level up. Haggar gets a rush forward, Cody gets a wave and Gaius gets a spin kick. Lives can be earned in prize games. The animation and music is great. Read the dialogue: sometimes the leader can be weakened before the fight, and some even give you healing. Interesting endings with subtle humour will encourage you to play more than once.

Just a cool arcade game. In the American version, you control a tough hero in a green vest, grey trousers and black glasses. In the Japanese version, you control a cop in a robot suit. The hero can punch, jump, crouch and cling to nets. On the levels, he finds components (blocks) to create powerful weapons. When you collect and combine these three components, you get a hovering robot sidekick that hovers above your head and fires at your command. The type of weapon the robot has depends on the combination of blocks. The graphics in the game are of a very high quality, the levels are well thought out and drawn, the music is just on five. The game is dynamic and uses all the possibilities of the console.

In 1989, when the Ninja Turtles were at the height of their popularity, Konami released the first game about the young mutants' adventures on the NES. It turned out to be a varied platformer. At the start of each level (except the last), the turtles explore the terrain from above. When you enter a building or open hatch, you play from the side. Scenery and enemy designs are inspired by the dark atmosphere of the original comic. The character can be selected from the pause menu during the game. Each member of the team has their own health bar, so you can swap one battered turtle for another, alive and awake, at any time. The difficulty is high due to the controls, character sluggishness and vicious enemies. But true turtle fans will not be put off by such inconveniences.

Unlike the first game, this is not a pure platformer, but a collection of different levels. Young cartoon characters visit the amusement park created by their old enemy Montana Max, and to get out you have to visit all the attractions. Each action must be completed for a different character. Here and riding on a tree trunk, and travelling on the roof of the train, and riding on wagons, and the crazy autodrome. The final level is the castle, where we can give Max a well-deserved beating as Rabbit Buster. The game is made on excellent, above all praise.

Castlevania is the beginning of the story of the famous series of games about the castle and Count Dracula. Vampire hunter Simon Belmont travels to the Count's sinister residence to put him to rest once and for all (or rather, for the time being). The weapon of the Vampyroborz is a long whip. Other weapons include a knife, an axe, holy water, a boomerang cross and a magic clock. After defeating monsters familiar to us from horror films - the vampire bat, Medusa, mummies, Frankenstein's monster and Death - Simon reaches Dracula's throne room and confronts the lord of the castle himself. The game is challenging, not least because of the peculiar controls, but at the same time it is maddeningly addictive. A timeless NES classic.

It's been a year since the Brothers defeated the Shadow Warriors. Now they embark on a campaign for the Sacred Stones, while kicking the crap out of the local bandits. The developers have spent a lot of time on the game's graphics, which are of a high quality. After hitting an enemy with your foot (or twice with your hand), you can approach them diagonally, grab them and start elbowing or kneeing them. At these moments, your character is invulnerable. In the third part, as well as playing as Billy and Jimmy Lee, you can also play as their two defeated enemies - the Chinese Chin and the ninja Renzou. Pressing Select allows you to choose your weapon and character (level 2 and 3 bosses will appear there after you defeat them).

Fun-filled hockey. Like other Technos sports, this is a no-holds-barred hockey game with cool characters and killer graphics. It is maddeningly fun to play, especially when you see the facial expressions that will make you fall under the table with laughter. Unusual skills and super moves add to the fun. The game is in Japanese.

We play as an ice axe climber whose task is to climb to the top of a mountain and then catch a flying bird with his paws. But this seemingly simple task is hindered by various obstacles: seals, birds, polar bears, icicles... And to climb up one level (there are quite a few on the mountain), we'll have to use inhuman patience to make a hole in the ceiling with an ice axe (just don't try this at home - your neighbours will misunderstand you). On the way up, there is a bonus level which, to be honest, is more difficult than the climb you made earlier. It's really fun to play with two people, especially for the speed.

A popular hero from Capcom games. For those who don't know, Mega Man is a robot who specialises in ridding the world of pest robots. Using his wrist cannon, you must traverse several levels filled with these very pests. At the end of each level there is a boss waiting for you, and after defeating him you will get his weapon, which will help you to continue your task more efficiently. The game is a must, not only because of its good graphics and sound, but also because it is quite interesting, especially the boss battles and, of course, the bosses themselves.

Fred and his friend Barney rescue children from trouble. You can play as either character, switching from one to the other by pressing "Select". The characters complement each other, each having their own weapons (Fred has a baton, Barney has a slingshot) and abilities (Barney can grab the bars and Fred can pull himself up on the ledges). New stages surprise with new secrets and interesting design. The graphics, similar to the last part of the game, are famous for their pleasant colours and have even improved a little. The game The Flintstones, - The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak is bright and exciting, the time of its passing will pass like a minute.

Sunsoft's first NES game about Batman, created in the platform genre and based on the 1989 film. The Dark Knight fights the Joker's henchmen in the streets of Gotham City. The hero can hit enemies with his fists and also use weapons with limited ammunition - boomerangs, pistols, powerful flying discs. Batman can also climb higher by pushing off the walls. In terms of mechanics and complexity, the game is close to Ninja Gaiden, and the atmosphere is great. The gritty streets of Gotham, presented in the eight-bit style of the film, are both frightening and fascinating. A worthy adaptation of the Dark Knight story for the NES.

A platform game about the adventures of the superheroes of the Avengers team from Marvel Comics. Two characters are at your service: Captain America and Falcon Eye. The villain Mandarin has captured Iron Man and the android Vision, and you must free them. Both superheroes are travelling through the cities of America, their path is visible on the map. Cap uses his powerful throwing shield against the enemies, while Falcon Eye uses his slightly less powerful arrows to destroy the invaders. Each character has their own advantages: the Captain has special moves, while the Archer's arrows reach enemies Cap can't. The characters are not very powerful at first, but you can pump them up by collecting power crystals. Despite a certain monotony in terms of graphics, level design, music and enemies, the game is interesting and never boring. There is a 'Battle Mode' where you can fight bosses and the second player controls them.
