The sequel to Power Blade takes us into the future, to the distant year 2200. You are still Nova, a special agent of the secret service. Once again you have to save humanity, this time from an external threat. The first 4 levels of the game can be played in any order. As before, you are armed with a boomerang, but there are other ways to hit enemies. In each of the early levels, you can go through a door to fight a dragon boss and, if you win, receive one of four 'cyborg suits'. Each suit gives you a weapon and additional abilities (climbing walls, swimming, flying, defending against enemies and bullets), and energy for the suit must be replenished by collecting bonuses along the way. You can also improve the hero's stats by finding prizes, so he can throw the boomerang further. A great action game that never gets boring.

A port (from the MSX2 computer) of Metal Gear, the game that started the famous series. The protagonist's mission is to infiltrate the enemy's fortress and destroy a secret weapon called, of course, Metal Gear. In the tradition of the series, it is not so much a matter of fighting the enemies as of sneaking past them without raising any alarms. You will also need to find important items and talk to other characters. There are a number of changes from the original. Some things from the MSX2 version are not in the game, but some new things are added - jungle and some confusing mazes. Also, unlike the original, there is a password system. All the main components - graphics, sound and gameplay - are top notch. Snake's Revenge continued on the NES.

A game based on the feature-length animated film about the Little Mermaid Ariel. According to Capcom, the prince managed to recognise his beloved in time, leaving the witch Ursula with a nose. But the lovers' happiness did not last long. Unwilling to accept defeat, Ursula rebelled and began to conquer the ocean by force. Ariel is forced to return to the sea and, having regained her mermaid's tail, to fight the evil witch. The tail will be your main weapon in the game. It allows Ariel to create bubbles underwater and trap small enemies, mainly fish, in them. When you pick up a trapped enemy, you can throw it at a larger enemy, such as a boss. Fish can also be used to knock prizes out of various crevices.

And for the third time, the fat hero has to save his girlfriend. The aliens in the flying saucer have taken advantage of her beauty and kidnapped her right under the chubby beau's nose. Tom is not used to this - as before, he pursues the villains relentlessly, eating fruit on the run. Outwardly, there are not that many differences from the previous part: the graphics are a bit better, there is another, fifth, dinosaur, the hero has learnt to duck, a couple of three new prizes. But the third part was much more player friendly.

A very successful sequel to the first game, which made the series popular. Here Megaman will have to fight eight bosses. He also gets improved gadgets for overcoming obstacles, and for the first time the player is shown the fortress of the main villain, Dr Wiley. There are passwords and the ability to replenish energy during battle, which makes it less difficult than the first game. The graphics have improved a little since the original, and the soundtrack is one of the best in the series. The gameplay, if we don't take into account the new weapons, remains the same as in the previous instalments.

Based on the famous Jurassic Park film. It turned out to be as exciting as the film itself. In Jurassic Park, the electric fence is down and the dinosaurs are out of control. A lot of people are in trouble, and your job is to save them. Ammunition for weapons is not infinite, so you must save and replenish it. As you progress, the arsenal will expand. Make sure you collect all the dinosaur eggs at each location, only then will you progress. To open the gate or do anything else important, use the computer terminal. Boxes marked with "?" can give you a prize or harm you. The dinosaurs are drawn quite realistically.

This Konami game follows the adventures of a young kung fu practitioner. He takes part in a tournament and defeats various opponents (or not - it's up to you). The game is a good fighting game (and one of the best on the Famicom). The hero can punch with his hands and feet, as well as perform jump kicks. But don't stand in the corner and wait for the turbo button to give you victory. The enemies are treacherous and will not give up.

Batman returns, this time in the beat'em up genre. The famous Konami has created a quality action game based on the film Batman Returns, carefully transferring the events from the film to the game. Numerous cutscenes, Penguin Man and Catwoman are included. As in any standard beat-em-up, Batman smashes enemies with his fists and feet, occasionally using batarangs and a harpoon. One of the levels sees you driving the Batmobile. The city of Gotham in the game is stunningly drawn; playing it feels like you're in the film itself. It's nice to be able to knock out prizes from various items along the way. Great game.

The famous prison escape action game. The game is from SNK. The music, disturbing and exhilarating, as if it plunges us into the harsh world of jungle, prisoners and military bases. The graphics are at the level of 1989, but who cares about graphics when you have to escape from the prison and tear through the guards and soldiers? At first, the hero can only defeat enemies with his bare hands and feet. But if you go into buildings, you can get armour, brass knuckles, throwing knives, machine guns and even grenades. You have to go through the prison, the military base and the jungle. The bosses in the game are serious, as pumped up as your hero. But once you have learned the tactics, you will be able to deal with them. This is a game for those who are not afraid of difficulty.

The plot is based on the scenario of the second part of the film about a robot cop. The graphics in the game are beautiful, the stages are colourful and the soundtrack is top notch. The levels are quite convoluted. Each one is littered with drugs that you must destroy, and as well as human enemies, there are various robots, bombs, and hostages to rescue. If the level fails to destroy more than 55% of the drug "newk", Robocop will go to the shooting gallery and shoot at targets. Often you will have to find a secret in the level to collect all the drugs. At long range Robocop will shoot the enemy and at close range he will punch the enemy with his fist. The enemies are brutal, so it's hard to play. To make matters worse, the controls are a little sluggish. Murphy tends to slide around corners, so be careful. A valuable gift for fans of retro games.

The main character is a space ninja called Zen, who saves the Earth from pollution. The game's graphics are more than decent, at the highest level. The stages are varied - there's the usual side-on view and 3D isometric views. The tasks are also challenging: each level has a different mission to complete. All in all, the gameplay is varied. Xen even has to drive a carriage. The hero uses a plasma rod as a weapon. Between the main missions there are bonus levels where you can win prizes (faster recovery, armour, lives). Like many of Konami's games, Zen - Intergalactic Ninja is well made.

The main idea - to show the world through the eyes of small creatures - the creators have done perfectly. For example, the first levels, when the monsters move around the huge house, jumping on cushions, tape recorders, climbing on a stool, as if on a mountain, running with great speed down the railing... The levels are colourful. All in all, a very good game.

Funny game from the company Hudson Soft. You have to help some creature to get to his girlfriend, avoiding enemies that look the same strange. The hero has no weapons, you have to rely only on your agility. If you go over the edge of the screen, the character will appear on the other side. You get points for the fruits you pick up, just like in Pacman. There are also bonus levels. It's a nice game, just the thing for relaxing.

The sequel to Castlevania was made differently from other parts of the series. Here, Simon Belmont travels through the towns, forests, graveyards, swamps and wastelands of Transylvania to collect five pieces of the deceased Dracula and bring them to the castle to lift the curse on himself and the people of his land. Dracula's fragments are kept in mansions. As in all role-playing games, the hero can store weapons in his inventory and choose what he needs from there. The change between day and night is present. The main difficulty lies in knowing what to do and where to go. Only by knowing everything will you get the best ending, which depends on the time spent in the passage.

A sequel to the first part of Ninja Gaiden. A year later, a new power-obsessed enemy appears. Ryu Hayabusa must defeat him and save his beloved from danger. Our ninja once again uses his indispensable sword as a weapon, which he wields to perfection. The game is as dynamic, atmospheric and complex as its predecessor, and even better in terms of graphics. There are even more special opportunities. For example, you can run with one or two disembodied ninjas who will help you fight your enemies. The hero not only clings to walls, but can also climb them. The sequel features new, high-quality levels. In addition to aggressive enemies, you will be confronted with weather conditions (on some stages) that will noticeably hinder you.

The adventures of a three-eyed boy, a manga and anime character. The villain has kidnapped the hero's girlfriend. The hero's main weapon is his third eye, which he uses to fire bullets at enemies. If you hold down the attack button, the hero will summon a magic spear that will help you climb higher. Jump on the spear before it flies away and it will freeze in mid-air. Shoot the falling coin several times to increase its value. In the shop you can buy new weapons (switch in pause mode), a bird (saves you from falling) and a life. Five levels will fly by for you in this exciting game.

The adventures of everyone's favourite character. The aged Indiana Jones recounts the troubles of his youth and you have to take part in these events. The action takes place during the First World War. The platform game consists of three long levels. Young Indiana helps the victims of the Mexican Revolution, delivers important reports from the battlefields of France, organises sabotage in a factory in Germany. Each adventure begins with a whip in hand. Later, Indy finds various weapons, both cold and firearms, but he can lose them if he misses an enemy attack. The game is interesting and moderately challenging.

The third part, which takes a big step forward in terms of variety and innovation. Everything that was good about the previous game has been improved and added to (though not without bugs and bad optimisations). Megaman has learnt how to do a roll-up and has acquired an assistant - a robot dog called Rush, who can transform into a feather, a flying machine and a bathyscaphe. There are many more adventures to be had before you enter Wiley's Fortress, and the plot itself is enough to keep you interested. In terms of music, the game is as good as the second part, and even better.
