A very nice arcade game with colourful graphics. You control Ronald (a clown advertising McDonald's). He can jump and throw apples. You have to on the enemy's head (if he has a head) or under his feet (if he has feet) and wait for him to explode. Very nice levels, nice music. Recommended for everyone!

Spy vs Spy
- • Genre: puzzle
- • Players: 2
To say that the title is intriguing is an understatement. We - the generation raised on James Bond's impossible missions - should not pass up a game with a name like that. It's designed to do just that. The screen is split into two parts. At the top is us (the hero in the white suit) and at the bottom is our rival (the hero in the black suit). We run through numerous rooms, carrying out tasks of varying complexity in order to get rid of the annoying rival. The graphics are not far from 16 colours, the sound - from PC SPEAKER. Nevertheless, the game is fascinating, but you just have to get used to it.

Doki! Doki! Yuuenchi: Crazy Land Daisakusen
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
- • Year of release: 1991
- • Developer: KID Corp.
European version of the game released in Japan under the name Doki Doki Yuuenchi (pirates called it Disneyland 2). The main character is a kid whose girlfriend is being held captive in a strange amusement park. You have to fight clowns, Easter bunnies, robots, Papuans, monkeys, Indians, pirates - they are not funny here, but very evil. Instead of weapons, the character uses balls, which he skillfully kicks at the enemy. The more the boy is hit, the more powerful his attacks become. The levels are varied, starting with a walk through the park's alleyways, followed by all sorts of themed attractions. In some levels you have to ride roller coasters, and these are the most difficult moments in the game. You have to somersault to avoid colliding with anything, and sometimes you have to accelerate (by pressing the attack button) to jump over long cliffs. An interesting, moderately challenging and entertaining game.

Ninja Crusaders
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 2 (coop)
- • Year of release: 1990
- • Developer: NMK Co. Ltd.
Ninja Crusaders (as the title translates) fight against invading machines in a post-apocalyptic world. The game is unique in that your ninja can transform into different animals. It all depends on the weapon you have at the moment: if you have a shuriken, you become a tiger; if you have a chain, you become a scorpion; if you have a stick, you become a bird; and if you have a sword, you become an unkillable (but time-limited) dragon. The duration of the levels is short, but you are likely to spend a lot of time in them. The thing is that the ninja dies with the first blow. That's why it's not an easy game.

Cliffhanger
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
Games based on the film Cliffhanger were released on several consoles, including the NES. The eight-bit version follows the events of the film almost verbatim. Stallone's character is hiding in the mountains from a band of robbers who are preparing to strike. The graphics are funny, the tiny little man we control has nothing to do with Sylvester. But the hero's tiny sprite is actually an advantage for the game, as it makes the huge mountains we have to climb look bigger. Stallone fights with his fists, but he can also pick up a knife, a rock or a gun, although he won't be able to use them for long. The platforming may seem difficult at first, but it is actually easy to get through. It's a nice game based on the film, even if it's not graphically perfect.

Chessmaster, The
- • Genre: strategy
- • Players: 2 (pvp)
An ancient game that has lost none of its charm over the years. A perfect balance expressed in the confrontation of two armies. It's like hearing the trumpets of elephants and the clash of spears when you sit down at the board. On 64 squares, there is room for beauty and drama, elegance and comedy, mind games and animal aggression. The rules are deceptively simple: rook forward, bishop diagonally, knight with the letter 'G', queen as bishop + rook. The pawn is one square forward (the first move can be two) and hits diagonally. King on all sides, but only one square. The game is perfectly adapted to the NES: the adjustable difficulty level (Select) is well combined with a pleasant design and calm music.

Ufouria - The Saga
- • Genre: action-adventure
- • Players: 1
A colourful adventure game in which we switch between four funny characters and explore an open world that is not divided into levels. At the beginning, you can only play as the main character, whose three friends you will meet later. To defeat an enemy, you have to jump on it while holding the 'down' key. Each of the four friends can do what only they can do: one runs fast, the other doesn't slip on ice and swims on water, the third jumps high and the fourth can dive. As the game progresses, we find hidden weapons for each hero. An exciting game full of puzzles and funny moments. The Japanese and European versions are different.

Rambo
- • Genre: action
- • Players: 1
A game based on the Stallone film. John Rambo is thrown into Vietnam, where he fights successfully. The game has adventure elements: you have to visit already passed places several times, talk to characters to get further, get access to other places in the levels. At first, the only weapons you have to fight enemies with are knives - for close combat and throwing knives. But in the course of the game you will find weapons and more serious: a bow with exploding arrows, a machine gun, grenades. For all its originality, the game is a little clumsy and has a humorous (strange) cartoon style that may not appeal to everyone.

Simpsons, The - Bart vs. the Space Mutants
- • Genre: action
- • Players: 1
For some reason, the popular cartoon series The Simpsons hasn't had much luck with good games. "Bart vs. The Space Mutants is a case in point. Play as the Simpsons' son Bart as he fights off an invasion of unfriendly aliens. There is none of the cheerful, uproarious atmosphere of the cartoon series. The whole game is a monotonous running through levels and performing strange tasks: repainting objects in a different colour or getting rid of hats. There are plenty of references to the source material, but they don't make the weather. The controls are over-modernised and the physics are far from ideal. The graphics could save this creation, but they are mediocre. However, if you still want to enter the world of the Simpsons, you can take a risk and play.

Alien villains have built four bases on Earth and one in space to siphon energy. You must destroy these bases as well as the alien warehouses. In stages 3 and 7, the super speed engine allows you to fly at double speed. If you find it difficult to move so fast, you can reduce the speed by pressing Select+Down. After completing the mission, fly to the satellite where there is a shop with new weapons (machine gun upgrade and 3 types of missiles). Pressing Arrow+Select will allow you to turn while flying. Interesting game, worth downloading.

Wai Wai World 2 - SOS!! Parsley Jou
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 2 (coop)
A man in a robot suit liberates worlds inspired by the wonderful Konami games of the 1980s. From the start of his journey, he has a double jump, and by holding one of the on-screen upgrades, you can temporarily transform into one of the heroes of the past by pressing up+jump. Helpers include noble thief Goemon, vampire fighter Simon Belmont, samurai Getsu Fuuma, baby Upa and soldier Bill (from Contra). The adventure is broken up by flying stages, two of which are easily recognisable as Gradius and TwinBee. There are also forks! The graphics are noticeably improved, and the characters are rendered in chibi style.

Lone Ranger, The
- • Genre: action-adventure
- • Players: 1
- • Year of release: 1991
- • Developer: Konami Industry Co. Ltd.
The game is a true western with a large open world, lots of towns and bandits to kill. Go shopping, get treated by doctors, ride horses, rob trains - there's a lot to do in the game. During missions, the view sometimes switches to first person, like in shooters (in these levels you can use a light gun). The game also has a very strong story, lots of dialogue and some pretty interesting plot twists. A very elaborate shooter western.

Cabal
- • Genre: shooter
- • Players: 2 (coop)
Here we fire at enemies and vehicles, with our character standing with his back to the screen. You can control both the aim (shooting enemies) and the character: running back and forth and doing somersaults to dodge bullets. You can destroy various objects and buildings and collect prizes - more powerful weapons and grenades. At first you can hide behind obstacles, but they won't last long, so you'll have to rely on your agility and dodge bullets. Once you have shot everyone, move on to the next shooting zone. At the end of each level there is a boss battle. An interesting concept for an 8-bit game.

8 Eyes
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 2 (coop)
- • Year of release: 1988
- • Developer: Thinking Rabbit Inc.
The world of the future has been nearly destroyed by eight nuclear explosions, and at the epicentre of each one an Eye of Power has formed. The task of recovering it falls to a hero called Orin and his fighting falcon, Catrus. When played with two players, the bird is controlled by the second player. The project is reminiscent of Castlevania, but with a twisted hit system. Killing each boss unlocks a new sword that deals double damage to a particular boss, so it's better to complete the castles in a certain order. After collecting the Eyes, we have the interesting task of placing them in the right order on the Altar of Peace to restore the Earth. The music adds to the atmosphere.

Zanac
- • Genre: shoot'em up
- • Players: 1
One of the first Complie games, released in 1986. The graphics are archaic, but the gameplay is fun and very advanced. In addition to the basic weapons, there are eight special weapons, each of which can be upgraded several times, and they are all different - Zanac can shoot in all directions, defend against enemy bullets, have powerful weapons and much more. There are many secrets in this game, including warps and secret lives. This game is also famous for its unique difficulty system, which adapts to the player - the number and difficulty of enemies depend on the player's actions. The game as a whole is difficult, but this is compensated for by a very large number of bonus lives, and at the end of the game the player receives points for each life saved. The principles established in Zanac were later applied to other similar games by Compile.

Mickey's Adventure in Numberland
- • Genre: educational
- • Players: 1
An educational game for the little ones. This time Mickey is looking for missing numbers from 1 to 10. There are a lot of numbers scattered around the levels, and you have to pick up only the right ones. Once you have done so, you will be given an example of how to count or add numbers up to 20, depending on the level of difficulty. There are three difficulty levels. On the easiest, you do not have to fight enemies and find the number on the level, the passage counts and so on. On the medium difficulty you have to find the number, but the enemies cannot kill you. And on the highest difficulty, you can lose to enemy attacks while looking for the number. As in the previous game, Mickey's Safari in Letterland, the graphics and sound are great.

Earthbound
- • Genre: RPG
- • Players: 1
Your hero is a little boy in a red cap with psychic superpowers. The boy wanders the world looking for adventure (and trouble). In the course of time, the boy will be able to turn mountains. He can even talk to animals. Along the way, you will have to complete quests to earn prizes. The best gift, of course, is money, which can buy literally anything. After the intriguing beginning of the game, a large map opens up, where you really have to 'pump' your hero and find out where all sorts of paranormal phenomena come from. The graphics are relatively decent (for the NES) and the details of the world are well drawn, but sometimes it's not clear what the object in front of you is until you get closer. The sounds don't interfere with the game, but the music becomes annoying after a few hours. And the animation is even worse - there is almost no animation, except in the battle scenes. But these are all minor drawbacks.
