A port of the Capcom arcade game to the NES. Play as Strider, a fighter using ninja techniques and futuristic technology, a member of a secret organisation. The community of Striders was created to maintain order on Earth, but the protagonist, Hiryu, has yet to find out whose interests the warriors are really serving. .... Technically, the game is a platformer, but a very unconventional one. Places can and should be visited more than once. As in Metroid, there are upgrades to be found in hidden places. The hero can be pumped to improve his characteristics, just like in RPGs. An interesting creation that is certainly worth evaluating.

Another representative of the action (arcade) genre. The plot is traditional: once again we save the old Earth from restless aliens. But the main thing is that the game is well done: good graphics and sound, a wide range of weapons, a large number of different monsters, nice animation of movements (especially tumbling in the air and the defeat of the main character). The game deserves positive marks and is quite capable of brightening up a monotonous evening.

A traditional adventure game, dynamic and moderately exciting. In the Japanese version of the game (called "Saiyuuki World 2"), we play as Sun-Ukun, the Monkey King. He travels through western lands, punishing enemies and acquiring useful skills. For the American market, the Eastern theme was not very suitable, so the developers changed the hero's appearance, making him an Indian. The US version was called Whomp'em. You can play both versions of the game and decide which one you like better. The idea is the same as in the Megaman games: choose one of six levels, defeat the boss, get his abilities. The game is hard.

You can buy various useful weapons in the shop. A girl named Kim is not only the shopkeeper, but also (oddly enough) a reporter.

Published by Nintendo in 1987, this game is about big-time boxing and the hard road to fame. Our boxer, called Little Mac, has 15 fights against different opponents. Each fight consists of 3 rounds of 3 minutes each. There are strong men against us, each with their own fighting tactics. The final boss is Mike Tyson himself. After one of his punches you will be knocked out, after the 2nd - game over. To get the skill of crown punch (forward + start) you need to get a bonus - a star, which you get after the "most beautiful" punch of our fighter. Cartoon graphics in the game is made talented and very beautiful. The music in the game is on the level of 1987. All in all, a fascinating and unique fighter in the ring.

The sequel to the first part of Goonies. We play as Mikey again, searching for captured friends and a mermaid girlfriend. The hero has an armoury - a list of items he can choose from. The game world is confusing: there is a lot of walking to do, moving from place to place, peeking into rooms and eventually freeing your friends from captivity. As well as a side-view mode, the game also has an 'out of sight' mode where you go into the room. In line-of-sight rooms, you have to tap the walls with your fist or hammer to find the prizes you want. It won't be easy to figure it all out at first, but it's worth it - the game is interesting and entertaining.

A game by Hudson Soft, similar in mechanics to Jackie Chan Action Kung Fu, but with a different concept. Here the action takes place in the time of the dinosaurs and we play as Bonk, a pithecanthrope. An evil T-Rex called Drool has bewitched a dinosaur princess and her entourage, making them his servants, and you have to bring them all back to normal. Bonk's crowning weapon is his powerful head. Our savage hero uses it to kick enemies and roll straight through the air on a gentle descent. Eating pieces of meat along the way will temporarily boost Bonk's abilities. A certain recklessness adds to the game's charm.

An excellent platform game based on the film, with a very original graphic solution - the room is isometric, at an angle, which makes you feel the volume. A small creature - a mogwai called Gizmo - has to cross several different levels and defeat the evil relatives who have taken over the skyscraper. Each time the hero gets a new weapon: tomatoes, paper clips, a match or a bow and arrow. Look for secret doors in levels with a shop where you can spend your currency on something useful. The game is amazingly detailed, and the house is fun to explore. And finally, the music: one of the best soundtracks on the system, you won't hear bass like this anywhere else.

The game is about how our solar system is invaded by monsters from Planet X. You play as 2 monsters: Godzilla and the giant butterfly Mothra. With their help you will have to protect your home planet by destroying all the enemy bases on the planets of the solar system and the planet X itself. You will also have to fight other monsters in close combat.

Fragments of this series were later incorporated into the first season of American Rangers. In the story, Earth is being attacked by the evil Queen Bandora and her minions. Our heroes - the Dinoranger boys Geki (red), Goshi (black), Dan (blue), Boy (yellow) accompanied by the girl Mei (pink) - successfully resist her. The game is not long. There are only five short levels in which you play as one of the rangers. There are also two-player mini-games (table tennis and bomb throwing) and (for those who know the series and the Japanese language well) a quiz. It's a nice game, perfect for killing time.

One of Konami's most famous games. It's a vertical shooter. We fly upwards and destroy vegetable-like enemies. When you hit a cloud, a bell flies out that changes colour when you shoot it. It is desirable to collect these bells. Some of them give you points, some give you weapons, some give you various bonuses. The game's graphics and sound are good.

The adventures of one of the world's favourite and most famous film characters - Indiana Jones. The game greets us with familiar music. The title image and video also look good. After a short clip and the choice of an item in the dialogue, we are suddenly thrown into an unexpected task - to piece together a sketch of a vase. This is necessary to pass the final challenge. But don't think that's all we'll be doing. There will be plenty of adventures familiar from the film: fighting a gang of enemies on a ship, exploring a dark Austrian mansion, riding a motorbike, riding a tank, searching for the Holy Grail. To be honest, our Indiana Jones is too clumsy and often misses enemies with his blows. The game's main advantage is its closeness to the original film.

It's not a bad game. In it, we have to put on the heavy suit of a warrior of the future. The gameplay is original. It is based on a constant change of gravity. When passing levels and bosses, you have to change the gravity to the floor or the ceiling. This creates a variety of interesting and challenging situations. What you notice immediately: the game has good graphics, especially the animation of the main character's death. A little boring monotony, but faster than it gets boring, you will manage to complete the game. Conclusion: play it.

Arcade game based on the story of the animated film. You control either Ren the Chihuahua or Stimpy the cat. Both roam the levels, neutralising enemies by spitting or slapping them, collecting prizes and solving simple puzzles. Sometimes, if you are controlling Stimpy, you will have to guide Ren to the exit using various objects (a spring will throw you over the obstacle, a cake will not let you pass, a sock will stop you for a while). From time to time, you take control of a spaceship and the game becomes a space shooter from left to right. The graphics are strange, and the sounds are cartoonish.
