Legendary Wings
- • Genre: shoot'em up
- • Players: 2 (coop)
A scrolling shooter with a very interesting concept. It takes place in a fictional pseudo-ancient world. We control a great warrior who has been given wings by the gods. We have to defeat a crazy supercomputer that wants to destroy humanity. Well, first you have to fly around the levels, shooting the crazy machine's many assistants. All in the best traditions of the genre: dodging enemies, picking up reinforcements, pumping weapons. A quality shooter from Capcom.

Wolverine
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 2 (take turns)
Atmospheric game about the legendary mutant Wolverine. Our hero fights evil in a modern technological base, a Mayan temple, a post-apocalyptic world of lava and robots, the land of the dead, a giant airship and even underwater. Claws (select) consume life energy, so use them only in dangerous situations. After reaching 100% health, your character will briefly go into combat madness, a state in which you can deal with enemies perfectly, but are more difficult to control. There are often secret locations in the levels, with rewards or the chance to advance to the next level.

Don Doko Don 2
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
- • Year of release: 1992
- • Developer: Taito Corporation
In a fairytale kingdom, a villain has bewitched the prince and turned him into a frog. Our hero - a bearded gnome with a hammer - must collect the ingredients for a potion that will help the prince become human again. Unlike the first part of the game (a single-screen arcade), the second part is a full-fledged platformer. We move through colourful levels, hitting enemies with a hammer. You can pick up the stunned monster and hurl it at another enemy or into the wall, picking up useful prizes in the process. There are puzzles in the levels, sometimes not obvious at all. The game was only released in Japan, in our country it was known as Chinese hack Super Mario 8. Very cool graphics and interesting stage structure. The last level with the clock is very memorable.

Over Horizon
- • Genre: shoot'em up
- • Players: 1
Once again a game of the shoot'em up genre. You find yourself on an alien planet that is ruled not by humans, but by plants. Of course, you can't stand for it. So - run to the ship, shoot the enemy flora. Press A to shoot forwards and B to shoot backwards. Each level will present you with unique obstacles, and your enemy will be not only the enemy, but also the landscape itself. There are also interesting battles with bosses that make you think, and infinite credits that will help any patient player reach the end of the game sooner or later. Before you start, it's a good idea to get into the menus and adjust the behaviour of your weapons and companions.

Back to the Future II & III
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
A confusing game that is difficult to play without sketching the map. Your goal is to find items scattered over a fairly large area in three time periods and place them in the right places. The items are found in rooms behind locked doors that require keys. Once inside the door, you must complete single-screen mini-levels in which you must collect all the clocks in a given time, avoiding obstacles along the way. The rooms where you must place the items are hidden in pipes and hatches. Each of these rooms contains the coded name of the item you need. If you make a mistake and choose the wrong item, it will disappear and you will have to get it again. The area to be explored is made up of many streets connected by passageways: you will have to move around a lot. To move through time, you need to find a remote control, which you can use to call a car. You also need to collect fuel for time jumps. Despite the interesting idea, the game has weak music and graphics, which makes it not very attractive. But for fans of puzzles and confusing games, it can be interesting.

Hi no Tori: Houou Hen - Gaou no Bouken
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 1
- • Year of release: 1987
- • Developer: Konami Industry Co. Ltd.
Quite a good game based on the famous Japanese anime. In it, you play as a bearded man named Gao who has to travel through the levels, destroying various evils, collecting prizes and fighting bosses. After defeating each boss, you unlock a fragment of a painting. At the end of the game, of course, you have to collect the whole picture. But not everything is that simple. The thing is, in some levels there are secret passages to a parallel level with new enemies and a new boss. It is for the additional boss and gives the piece of the picture that you will miss if you do not find the secret. All the main interest of the game and is to find the secret moves.

Sunman
- • Genre: action
- • Players: 1
This game from Sunsoft was originally developed as a game about Superman. However, due to the loss of the licence, we had to remove all references to the famous DC Comics hero and invent our own hero - Sunman. Even so, the game was not officially released - we have a prototype. And not completely finished - the hero's attacks do not always hit the target. Nevertheless, it's worth playing and evaluating.

Faxanadu
- • Genre: action-RPG
- • Players: 1
- • Year of release: 1987
- • Developer: Hudson Soft Company, Ltd.
An offshoot of the Dragon Slayer series, more specifically a storyline addition to the second part of Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu. The gameplay can be compared to Zelda II - The Adventure of Link and the Castlevania series. Don't look now, but at first you might think it's a contrived RPG, but when it turns into an incredibly atmospheric platformer, you'll forget all about it. The art design in this game is top notch - the medievalism is everywhere. One of the most underrated projects on the platform.

Our dwarves need to get to the exit as quickly as possible. What we have to do We have to help them. We choose a little guy and and give him certain abilities (digging, building, etc.). He immediately starts to fulfil his tasks. A good logic game. In the eight-bit version of "Lemmings", the level structure is much more modest than in the original released on the Amiga.

A quantum leap in everything! Three heroes instead of one, a much bigger world, better graphics and music, transport in the form of a ship, improved combat, more freedom to explore the world and a fascinating quest element. The story hasn't really evolved much - it's still the same standard good versus evil. If the first part laid the foundations of the JRPG, the second has greatly expanded and deepened them. Recommended to play.

Classic AD&D on NES. Eight heroes return to their home village to find it destroyed. They must take revenge on the culprits. We walk around the map and when we meet an enemy, we fight them in real time. It's a good RPG, by the way. It was never released outside Japan, but no problem: there is a fan translation.

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves
- • Genre: action-adventure
- • Players: 1
Another beautiful Robin Hood game, this time in a very serious style. The game begins in an interesting way: Robin is in prison, but as usual he finds a way to escape. We break through the guards, get out and, as in any Elder Scroll, find a whole world to explore. In the future we will have a whole camp where we can rest from the tasks and regain strength before the next mission. There will be a lot of quests and, as in a real RPG, you will equip yourself with different weapons and healers that you will acquire in battle. The game is extremely exciting, and fans of real adventures will not want to miss it.

Dragon's Lair
- • Genre: platformer
- • Players: 2 (take turns)
- • Year of release: 1990
- • Developer: Motivetime Ltd.
A remake of the famous arcade game Dragon's Lair. The original consisted of colourful video clips, resembling a cartoon, and the gameplay was linked to the actions of a drawn character. Nothing like that will happen on the NES, of course. But the lack of complexity was on full display here. The main character - the hapless knight Dirk the Daring - dies from almost every touch of an enemy, be it a monster or simply a closed door. Due to the size of the sprite, the character is attacked by everything in a row, and the game's controls are a little tight. Getting the clumsy knight through all the obstacles to the princess is a true feat of gaming heroism.
